All I could find was either very expensive. You have to understand, we are still a startup. We are self-funded and trying to control costs, to be profitable. So we can't afford to spread out on colossal translation budgets. Traditional translation agencies, when you want to launch in 20 languages right away, multiply the translation budget by 20.


It's colossal. I also considered simpler solutions, but the translation seemed too simplistic, not high-quality. And again, when you're a luxury brand, you have to ensure the output is top-notch, with no blunders. Because that too can be very counterproductive.


And then, and then there, I remain alone at the helm and I need something that is simple to implement. I can't, I can't embark on a heavy operational project requiring an internal team. So everything I could consider ranged from small apps to large agencies.

It wasn't necessarily suited to my situation, to my condition as a startup with big ambitions and a controlled budget. So I admit, yes, it lasted, I think, a good six months where I was a bit stuck and didn't really know what to do. I tried things, the usual Shopify apps we all know, from Wilo to Adapt Trans, but honestly, I wasn't.

I wasn't sure it was the right choice. And then, completely by chance, I didn't even know this type of solution existed. I met Glopal at a trade show and thought, this really ticks all the boxes. So I decided to go for it.
